I carried my laptop up to the library, for the first time, yesterday evening, to take advantage of the free Wi-Fi. I intended to write a blog post about the advantages and disadvantages of free Wi-Fi at Top Pot versus free Wi-Fi at the library, but I didn’t get around to it. (Top Pot is closer, and it’s not uphill. I can stay longer at the library without feeling like I’m loitering. I don’t have to buy coffee at the library and drink it slowly. While seating is not bountiful at Top Pot, it easier to find a free table there than at the library. I turn the sound down at Top Pot – I turn it off at the library. And so on.)
I came home and Phillip was already in bed. I went online on the desktop, fed the boys, and the went back online for a little while. Then I logged off and watched our DVD of Clue. I fell asleep once or twice. Then I fell asleep again and again. I woke up in time to see one of the random endings.
I went back online long enough to post a new poll in my Neopets guild. Then I logged off, went to bed at a little past ten (early for me), fell asleep right away, and slept soundly through the night.
The alarm woke me up this morning. I put on my glider-resistant clothes while Phillip went to the bathroom. I laid down on the futon and waited for him to return. When Phillip returned, he went back to bed. I asked him what he was doing. He replied that the boys weren’t up. He was right. I laid on the futon and waited for Sonar and/or Max to emerge from the bed. They didn’t. I became afraid that I was going to fall asleep and wake up late for work. So I got up.
At the usual time, I woke Phillip up, and he went to work. The boys still had not emerged from bed. I went to work, very tired and a little concerned about the boys.
I was very glad to see both Max and Sonar get up for breakfast tonight.
