Phillip and I decided to have lunch at Sam’s Tavern, over in Pike/Pine, today. We agreed to try to find a car2go to get us there. We both had free driving minutes, and it would allow us to both have a drink or two and bus it home.
I logged into car2go, and kept a browser window open, watching for an available car, while we spent a lazy afternoon at home.
After two hours of waiting for an available car, we abandoned our plan and decided to go to Blue Stone, for some Korean food, instead.
We walked to Blue Stone. We discovered that it’s closed on Sundays.
We discussed where to go instead: Captain Black’s, Charlie’s, or someplace else. Then Phillip suggested that we keep walking to Sam’s Tavern. So we did.
We both had burgers and drinks, and Sam’s Tavern donated two dollars to Childhaven.
We walked home and watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Honestly, the only reason I put it on our Netflix queue was that I wanted to see the CGI effects. It turned out to be a much better movie than I was expecting. Before we watched it, I told Phillip that it was based on an Oscar Wilde short story. Actually, it was F. Scott Fitzgerald.
And the CGI was impressive.
