Same Old Resolution

Once again, my New Year’s Resolution is to complete Popsugar’s Reading Challenge. I had loads of fun with the 2016 and 2017 challenges.

I had a thought, earlier this year, to branch out to another reading challenge, just for the sake of variety. There are several out there, but I have yet to find one as varied, inventive, and weird as the ones the folks at Popsugar come up with.

For 2018, there are 40 categories, with an Advanced option for 10 more. That’s fewer than 2017, but still more than 2016. As usual, I see easy ones, tough ones, and some I don’t yet have a clue about. Half the fun, for me, will be researching books for the Categories.

(Note to myself: Look up the word “alliteration”.)

As usual, I will impose two rules on myself: I won’t read a book I’ve read before (unless the Category requires it), and I’ll finish every book I start.

There’s also a third rule: Since I’m doing this for my own enjoyment, and there is no completion prize, I can make and break my own rules as I see fit.

So, here is Popsugar’s 2018 Reading Challenge:
